Rumours circulate on the bands demise after their last live show

After the Mint Chicks Bacco Room show on March 12th, 2010 rumor and speculation about the bands demise have popped up across the music web-sphere. The Mint Chicks have not broken up. In fact they want their fans to get involved and creative with their music. The band is using the promotional platform MusicHype to work with their fans to crowd source a video for their hit single “Bad Buzz” and a new official Mint Chicks T-shirt. "Right now half of the band are in Portland and half are in New Zealand.” says Ruban Nielson of the Mint Chicks. Mint Chicks Dump Major Label Warner For NZ Tech

NZ Start-up MusicHy.pe will digitally launch the Mint Chicks “Bad Buzz” EP

The iconic NZ indie rock band, the Mint Chicks sent their major label Warner packing last December, and signed up with NZ start-up MusicHy.pe to launch their new EP “Bad Buzz”. The Mint Chicks will take their music directly to where their fans are, on the web. Using the MusicHy.pe platform the Mint Chicks are running three major competitions. The first competition offers stems (sound files for each instrument) from their major hit “Crazy? Yes! Dumb? No!” to musicians.
