2010 Employment Law Update for Ventura County Business Owners
Leading Oxnard attorney to discuss legislative changes and employer issues
11.03.2009 – OXNARD, Calif.—Local business owners will learn about legislative changes and what they need to know about employment law to survive next year when Jonathan Fraser Light, Esq., chairman of the Employment Law Group of Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, Ventura County’s largest law firm, holds a fast-paced interactive Employment Law Update. The seminar, presented by the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council, will be from 7:30 a.m. - noon, Nov. 17 at The Palm Garden Hotel, 495 North Ventu Park Road, Thousand Oaks.
“We’ll cover detailed information on the things that cause the most headaches for employers and we invite attendees to bring their specific questions to the seminar,” said Light. “The program will focus on several hot topics, including arbitration agreements, the latest on Employee Free Choice, recognizing and avoiding workplace violence, discrimination cases and ADA compliance, wage and hour ‘horror’ stories, alternative work schedules and more.”
