"Make has a clear track record in translating a brand vision into tangible creative messaging," says Josh Fairchilds, a founder of Oboz.
With the addition of Oboz, Make will now represent three Montana-based sporting goods clients. Other 'Big Sky' clients include fishing suppliers Simms and R.L. Winston Rod Company. Make has also worked with Nike, BMW, and Timberland and MTV, to name a few. Make's Creative Director and founder Dan Bryant, as well as writer Jim Hagar, will work directly on Oboz in all capacities.
Fairchilds and John Connelly, both veterans of the outdoor footwear business, created Oboz in 2007. Now in its second year at retail, Oboz is sold in over 100 stores in the United States, including respected retailers such as REI, Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS), and many specialty retailers. Internationally, Kathmandu is a major retail partner, with stores in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Oboz plants a tree for every pair of shoes it sells through its beneficiary partner Trees for the Future (http://www.treesftf.org/).
