The Valhalla is endowed with a generous forefoot to give toes plenty of space for comfort during long days out on the trail. A reinforced toe cap, covered in rubber, protects toes against rocks and gives added durability to the shoe.
Underneath, Oboz has multiple densities of the EVA midsole to optimize stability and cushioning. A protective layer gives the shoe torsional structure and wards off the discomfort that rocky trails can cause. The Valhalla's rubber outsole -- with its etching of a real topographical map -- has grippy lugs for surefooted traction on trails and won't mark up floors.
On top, the Valhalla blends mesh and Nubuck leather to keep feet cool and ventilated.
