FAMILY CIRCLE RETEAMS WITH IKEA AND FOOD UNIVERSITY FOR A 10-CITY CULINARY ENTERTAINMENT TOUR

NEW YORK, N.Y. (SEPTEMBER 9, 2010) — After a successful launch in fall 2009 and spring 2010, Family Circle (circulation 3.8 million) is collaborating once again with IKEA and Food University’s experiential food program, for a new round of Food University Presented by Family Circle tour dates. Each of the 10-city culinary tour events emphasize a fun and friendly approach to cooking. These free cooking seminars will give aspiring home cooks inspiration and basic kitchen know-how while raising their culinary IQ. These seminars will be taught by celebrity chefs at ten IKEA locations across the country. A live broadcast of the Seattle event can be viewed on MyFoodU.com on October 10th at 2PM PST.

“Our readers, the moms of tweens and teens, are cooking more at home to save money and spend more time together with their families,” says Diane Papazian, publisher of Family Circle. “One of our most popular online features at familycircle.com is our recipe section because so many people are looking for healthy family recipes and have questions about using the right ingredients. Our relationship with IKEA and Food University gives us the opportunity to help people feel more comfortable in their kitchens and improve their lives.”

Each in-store cooking seminar will feature a chef demonstrating Family Circle recipes and discussing the importance of local produce, the power of using spices to boost flavor, ideas for quick and healthy recipes, and tips for easy entertaining.

The events will take place on:

•Saturday, October 9, 2010, Portland, OR from 2-4 p.m. with Caprial & John Pence
