Digital Signage Used to Reach the Elusive Male Health Patient

Planned Parenthood of Montana's newly awarded grant applied to promoting male services.

Planned Parenthood strives to provide accessible health care to men and women across the nation. Ovation Interactive appreciates the opportunity to support their education mission with its digital signage solution, a technologically advanced tool in the struggle for awareness and advocacy.

Extending communications reach to empower and positively affect the educational and decision-making process for young women and men is a critical component of Planned Parenthood's success. Knowledge is power: the power to make informed choices. In an information economy, digital signage - specifically, dynamic media content - to delivers compelling messages with scenarios and language that encourage responsible action and personal accountability.

"It's rewarding to help bring this communication channel to Montana. In a less densely populated area, it can be even more important to use technology to deliver targeted messages to those with the most need, considering they may lack sufficient other opportunities," shares Ovation Account Executive Tania Kaas. Content delivery through signage is an excellent way to influence health care patients in a comfortable, non-threatening manner.

With an eye on fiscal responsibility, Planned Parenthood of Montana will repurpose two display screens recently donated to the organization by a generous benefactor. Ovation Interactive will provide two digital media players to complete functional deployment of the system.

Ovation is also collaborating with Beth Cogswell, Director of Communications for Planned Parenthood of Montana, to plan content for the launch, focusing on topics directed to men's health services. Supporting content will include popular music video, local news, and community event announcements.

As funding allows, the network will grow to include each clinic in Montana. Planned Parenthood Montana (PPMT) joins the Ovation client roster alongside San Diego-Riverside Counties (PPSDRC) and The Heartland (PPH).
