The award was presented during an awards luncheon attended by more than 150 professionals in accounts payable, procurement, and finance. Lavante was one of three Technology Excellence Award recipients.

The second session titled "Procurement & AP – Acting Together to Maximize and Streamline Processes," focused on how recovery and supplier information management processes can be automated in a way that benefits both accounts payable and procurement.
