BOSTON—Pearson today announced that its award-winning CourseConnect™ courses for online and blended learning are now available for the iPad. Students accessing their CourseConnect courses on their iPads will find the same rich learning experiences as on their computers, with iPad-designed features including easy touch-screen navigation, practice exercises, relevant imagery and integrated rich media.
CourseConnect courses for higher education can be used either stand-alone or mapped to any textbook, and used in any learning management system. Designed using clear course level outcomes and enabling lesson-level objectives, course content is created by a team of credentialed subject matter experts, faculty advisors, course authors and e-learning instructional designers.
“Learning is happening anywhere, anytime on any device,” said Don Kilburn, CEO of Pearson Learning Solutions. “Today’s students want their educational content to be interactive and personal to their learning style, whether they learn best through audio, visual or both. That’s why we’ve optimized CourseConnect courses for the iPad. It’s another example of how we’re leveraging the best of technology and content to improve access and achievement for our students.”
