03.02.2010 – PitchEngine, the next-generation PR platform has partnered with Technorati, Inc. and MyMediaInfo to develop two new components for their soon to be released, Pitchâ„¢ Platform.
"We built Pitch for journalist and bloggers instead of the other way around. It used to be acceptable to just blindly send press releases to media, but these days there's just too much junk out there," said Jason Kintzler, PitchEngine's founder and CEO.
Technorati List, the blogger outreach component, is designed to help organizations (and bloggers) simplify and expand blogger outreach. Technorati plans to integrate this functionality into their own website which will work on PitchEngine's new Pitch Platform in the coming weeks.
"Technorati remains the third largest social media property on the internet," said Kintzler, "For the first time, brands and organizations will have access to substantial direct distribution to bloggers. Meanwhile, bloggers can gain more access to exclusive content and the ability find and filter sources."
MyMediaInfo represents 400,000 media jobs and a huge distribution network for PitchEngine users. These journalists will have access to the Pitch platform where they can easily opt-in and interact with content.
"MyMediaInfo provides premium, detailed profiles of journalists to help facilitate relationships between publicists and the media. We see PitchEngine's new platform as a natural extension of this data," stated Eric Hill, President of MyMediaInfo. "The combination of the Technorati List, MyMediaInfo's data and PitchEngine's platform is leading the way for the next generation in communications."
With Pitch, media can follow and filter only the content that matters to them. If they see something they like, they can interact privately, one-to-one with the Pitch creator. Media can also pitch story needs to brands and organizations from within the same categories of interest making Pitch a genuine media relations tool.
"The Pitch Platform offers a new kind of "social media relations". Instead of sending press releases to email adresses, we'll be creating conversations and sharing content with real people, network style. We're aiming to cutout PR spam and cut-down on emails, voicemails and other traditional PR outreach methods. Pitch will enable media to search, filter and target the influencers that matter most," said Kintzler.
PitchEngine will begin rolling out invites for beta access via their website pitchengine.com
