04.15.2010 – Martin Parnell continues his amazing quest of running 250 marathons in 2010 for 'Right to Play' on May 2 by joining a throng of dedicated Marathon Quest 250 runners and supporters at the BMO Vancouver Marathon.
MARATHON DAY - MAY 2
To celebrate an important milestone of completing 30% of his 2010 marathon goal, Martin would like to invite everyone who has been following his progress to join him for all or just portions of this run. Marathon Quest runners will be able to register for the full marathon with a special 15% discount on course fees, and those that wish to run only a portion of the marathon can register for only $45. Marathon Quest 250 technical racing tanks will be available for purchase by all participants, proceeds going directly to Right to Play.
Marathon Quest 250 will welcome all runners, supporters and fans to a dedicated tent near the marathon start / finish area before, during and after the race to celebrate Martins achievement and to find out more about Right to Play. Martin and the Marathon Quest 250 team will be on hand to answer questions, sign autographs, and speak enthusiastically about helping children around the world, one run at a time.
RECEPTION & SILENT AUCTION - APRIL 30
On April 30, two days prior to the marathon, Martin also invites all of his supporters to join him at the Copper Chimney Restaurant adjoining the Hotel Le Soleil at 567 Hornby Street in Vancouver from 4pm for a reception and the opportunity to participate in a Silent Auction. Auction items include a two-night stay in Whistler and a night at the luxurious Hotel Le Soleil in Vancouver, amongst others. All proceeds will go directly to Right to Play.
