(Casper, Wyo.) - Registrations are now being accepted for the T-Bird Trek Half Marathon, 10K and 5K happening on September 18, 2016 in Casper. The race begins on the scenic Casper College Campus, overlooking the City of Casper to the north and beautiful Casper Mountain to the south. The recently completed Campus Plaza serves as a focal point for the second annual event that will attract both local and out-of-town racers.
There are several options for you to choose from. The Half-Marathon course is not for the faint of heart, but the views will be worth it. Lookout Point will look better than ever because you'll have earned it the hard way. Or you can choose the 10K course. You still get the work and reward of an uphill run with a downhill finish, but you don't climb as high.
Is it all about the fun for you? Then opt for the 5K run/walk. You can blast round the course and be first to the picnic; or bring the kids, stop along the course for fun activities, and still arrive back at the commons for music and food. Do Mom and Dad want to run the 10K or Half-Marathon? Get the grandparents to run/walk the 5K course with the kids. Children 12 and under are free with a registered adult.
Prices increase in seven days. Save when you sign up by May 31 for the 2016 T-Bird Trek. More money stays in your pocket and if you commit now, it's great motivation to start training.
If you're traveling to Casper, check out the deals at T-Bird Trek's partner hotel, the Casper Hilton Garden Inn. Information is on the T-Bird Trek website.
Aiming to do the Casper Race Trifecta? Don't miss the Casper Marathon coming up on June 5 and the Casper Chase on July 12. You'll be ready for the T-Bird Trek on Sunday, September 18, 2016.
