LAS VEGAS – (April 29, 2016) - The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance announced that Kristin Maxwell has been named director of communications and policy.
In this role, Maxwell manages communications efforts for the organization to raise its profile and increase awareness among the community. In addition, she develops strategic policy agendas for established priorities of the LVGEA, advances legislative agendas to promote community and economic development, and maintains working relationships with elected officials and government agencies.
“Kristin provides a wealth of knowledge in both the public policy and communications realm,” said Jonas Peterson, president and CEO of the LVGEA. “As a nearly lifelong Las Vegan and graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Kristin understands the needs of Southern Nevada and will prove to be an essential asset to the priorities of the LVGEA.”
Prior to joining the LVGEA, Maxwell worked for multiple elected officials in both Washington, D.C. and Carson City. She was most recently Lt. Gov. Hutchison’s communications director, overseeing his office’s communications and outreach efforts.
