LANDER, WY—Between the warmth of a community trade show and the glow of the future stars of the rodeo realm, the annual Wyoming State Winter Fair and Trade Show in Wind River Country/Fremont County is certainly an event “where winter blues melt like snowflakes.” In its 49th year, the Lander event has grown to include a wide variety of events, ranging from a trade show to a talent show, from ultimate miniature bull riding to horse reining.
The 2016 fair will kick off at the Lander Old Timer’s Arena (1663 Rodeo Dr.) on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday, Feb. 28 with ultimate miniature bull riding, horse show and dummy roping.
On March 3-5, the trade fair will take over the Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse (350 Baldwin Creek Rd.). Complete with a daily cake raffle, live entertainment, vendors and crafts and more, the three-day trade show is a showcase of local skill and community.
