J. Gilbert’s highlights women winemakers with Jackson Family Wine collaborative dinner on June 2

Women in Wine, multi-course dinner features surf-and-turf favorites with paired wines

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (May 26, 2016) – J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood announces its first Women in Wine collaborative wine dinner with Jackson Family Wines on Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will feature four courses paired with wines selected by Jackson Family Wines’ female winemakers.

The multi-course dinner includes J. Gilbert’s famous steaks and seafood, complemented with perfectly paired wines with each course. The full menu is as follows:

Women in Wine Dinner Menu

First Course:
Spring Salad – apple vinaigrette, bartlett pears, grape tomatoes, blue cheese, local baby greens
Paired with Cambria Clone 4 Chardonnay, Santa Maria Valley

Second Course:
Mesquite Grilled Copper River Salmon – polenta cake, sun dried cherry reduction
Paired with La Crema Pinot Noir, Monterey

Third Course:
Filet Mignon Medallion – grilled vegetable kabob, red wine demi glace
Paired with Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County

Fourth Course:
Watermelon Sorbet with spring fruit – almond brittle crisp, Meringue
Paired with Kendall Jackson Late Harvest Chardonnay, California
