OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (June 13, 2016) – In honor of Father’s Day on June 19, J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood will open early at 11 a.m., serving a $45 three-course prix fixe menu until 9 p.m. The menu blends J. Gilbert’s well-known steaks and seafood, inspired by Kansas City-steakhouse fare, with fresh ingredients from artisan partners to create the ultimate three-course feast for dad.

J. Gilbert’s will also serve its regular menu on June 19, featuring a variety of rustic comfort food dishes and award-winning steaks. The complete Father’s Day menu is as follows:

Father’s Day Prix-Fixe Menu

First Course
Diners choose one of the following:

Baby Greens – sundried cherries, pine nuts, parmigiana reggiano, balsamic vinaigrette

Caesar Salad – parmigiana reggiano, garlic croutons, asiago cheese crisp, anchovies

Wedge Salad – smoked bacon, maytag crumbles, tomatoes, red onion, buttermilk blue dressing

Maryland Crab Bisque

Chicken Tortilla Soup


Second Course
Diners choose one of the following:

8-ounce Center Cut Filet – Yukon mashed potatoes, green beans with pecans, rosemary demi

14-ounce Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop – Yukon mashed potatoes, green beans with pecans

Seared Sea Scallops – lobster risotto, champagne beurre blanc

Maple Roasted Salmon – bourbon glaze, Yukon mashed potatoes, green beans with pecans

Wood-Grilled Ribs – full slab of baby back ribs, Kansa City-style BBQ sauce, thin-cut fries, creamed corn with Burgers’ bacon

12-ounce Kansas City Strip – choice of two seasonal sides (add $5)
