The SteelDrivers Featured at Free Centennial Celebration on July 31

The entire community is invited to the free St. John’s Medical Center Centennial Celebration Concert on Sunday, July 31st at the Snow King Ballfield. The St. John’s Hospital Foundation has planned this event to celebrate St. John’s Medical Center and thank the community for 100 years of generosity and support.

Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The SteelDrivers will headline this free, family-friendly concert. After winning a first-time Grammy award for the acclaimed #1 album The Muscle Shoals Recordings, The SteelDrivers are taking 2016 by storm. The group has played to numerous sold-out venues this spring.

“What better way to celebrate our community’s most important asset than with a celebration concert and birthday party?” said John Goettler, Foundation president. “This is our way of saying thank you to the entire Jackson Hole community for their support of St. John’s for the last 100 years. We hope that everyone in the community will come and join the celebration!”

Festivities will begin at 4:00 pm with the Hootenanny Allstars, featuring several members of the Jackson Hole Hootenanny. Brent Moyer, Phil Round, and Ben Winship take the stage next. Rounding out the concert program is The SteelDrivers. The music portions of the Centennial Celebration will be produced by Jackson Hole Live.

Activities include birthday treats, face painting, hula hooping, Jackson Hole Public Art’s mobile studio, Friends of Pathways’ strider bike park, and giveaways. Food trucks and beverage vendors will be available, and St. John’s Choices Café will be giving away treats at the St. John’s tent.

During the event, attendees may sign up for a free raffle to win a $100 coupon for care at St. John’s Medical Center. Ten winners will be selected.
