Romance Goes Awry for Actor MICKEY CASAB in New Comedy Short ‘THE PROPOSED’ at 2016 DANCES WITH FILMS

World Premiere at Famed TLC Chinese Theaters in Hollywood on June 9, 2016

LOS ANGELES (May 18, 2016) – Actor MICKEY CASAB is ready to commit to big laughs in the new comedy short, THE PROPOSED, making its World Premiere at the 2016 DANCES WITH FILMS film festival on June 9th at TLC Chinese Theaters in Hollywood.

All Peter (Casab) wants to do is romantically propose to his girlfriend. When the “special spot” he selected for this memorable picnic gets overrun by strangers, this Price Charming’s moment is anything but a fairy-tale.

Casab is excited to showcase his comedy skills, adding "Peter’s circumstance brings to light the pressure that every guy faces trying to create the perfect proposal. Bringing that honesty to it is what I believe has made this film so funny. You cannot watch this film without laughing."

In addition to leading the cast, Casab took a role behind the camera as Executive Producer for THE PROPOSED. The film also comes from Writer//Director Joe Gonzales and co-Writer Bradford Smith, who Casab had previously worked with as a producer on the award-winning comedy short, Death to Cupid.

Casab has been building a solid resume since landing in Los Angeles. His credits include roles in the feature films Fist 2 Fist and California Tango; on CBS’s popular procedural Criminal Minds and CMT’s drama Angels Among Us; and online in the award-winning web series Joe & MJ, Hollywood Girl, and Tiffany and Erin Show. Casab graduated from the Academy of Art University with an MFA in MPT Acting under the direction of famed actress Diane Baker. He recently founded the production company Possum Fossil and is currently in-development on several projects.

Mickey Casab is represented by Nancy Chaidez & Associates.
