New grant gives 670 Hartford Elementary students chance to attend musical theater event

11.20.2009 – CHANDLER, Ariz. —A recent grant awarded to the Chandler Center for the Arts will enable 670 students from Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School to attend one of their first musical theater experiences. Camp Broadway, an award-winning arts education organization based in New York, is awarding the Center with a $4,690 grant supporting the arts education event, Friends of Frog and Toad. The grant will fund artist fees for the Jan. 25 production of Friends of Frog and Toad, which is one of six educational outreach events part of the Center’s Community Performing Arts Connection (C-PAC)...
