Plus Size Women Refuse to be Misrepresented

The Plus Size Marketing Group's purpose is to serve as an advocate for positive promotion of plus size women and men. Through our online surveys, communities and focus groups we collectively bridge the gap between society and the plus size/large size industry.

In response to the negative comments, stereotypes and portrayal of plus size women in the media, the Plus Size Marketing Group started the PLUS SIZE MOVEMENT. Founders, Presidents, and CEO's of plus size businesses are uniting together to let the voice of plus size women and men be heard. Misrepresentation of plus size people will no longer be tolerated by the community that represents that majority of men and women in the United States.

Although there are beautiful, smart, desirable plus size women who are successful business owners, mothers, wives, exercise teachers etc., the media continues to focus on the negative aspect of large women in order to combat the reality that everyone is not meant to be the same size, color or have the same religious beliefs.

Social media sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Ning.com etc. are making it easier for this community to unite and let their voices be heard.

The plus size community is excited about the groundbreaking reality show "More to Love" but they will hold FOX accountable for the manner in which the plus size community is represented on the show.
