New Rock + Roll Trek Invites Visitors to Discover their Inner Rock Star

CLEVELAND, OH – Positively Cleveland challenges visitors and locals to complete the new Rock + Roll Trek on the ‘latest and greatest’ social networking site SCVNGR.com. Positively Cleveland’s Rock + Roll Trek presents unique challenges at seven different rock-inspired Cleveland Plus restaurants and attractions: Melt Bar & Grilled, Happy Dog, Prosperity Social Club, House of Blues Cleveland, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Nighttown and Blue Arrow Records & Boutique.

What is SCVNGR? SCVNGR is a game. Playing is simple: Go places. Do challenges. Earn points! You'll unlock badges and rewards and share where you are and what you're up to with friends.

A challenge? What's that?
A challenge is a quick, fun, casual thing to do at a place. Things like checking-in (1 pt), snapping a picture (2 pts), scanning a QR code (2 pts), completing some activity (2-5 pts) or doing the social check-in by bumping phones with your friends (2 pts for each person you check-in with). Of course, the whole fun of challenges is that anyone can create them at their favorite places. Make fun things for your friends to do, for your patrons or just for random strangers discovering the places you love.

Start by downloading the SCVNGR app on an iPhone or Android, choose Treks and click on Rock + Roll under the list of nearby treks. The Rock + Roll Trek will lead you to places like Melt Bar & Grilled in Lakewood where snapping a photo of your oversized grilled cheese earns you 2 points and the House of Blues Cleveland to learn a little about Cleveland’s Rock + Roll history. You’ll get a point or two just for checking-in and commenting, but the real points come from completing the challenges. Head to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and bust out your best Gene Simmons face or jam on your air guitar, have a friend or random stranger take your photo and 5 points are all yours.
