PR FLEX ADDS PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST ALISON WALSH TO GROWING TEAM

Walsh Will Manage Media Outreach & Client Relations for the Industry's Newest "On-Demand" Agency

Baltimore, MD -- One month after launching a new-look agency with a “no retainers, just results” model, PR Flex Principals Greg Abel and Mike Sweeney announce the addition of Alison Walsh to their team as a full-time PR Specialist. With several years experience working in New York at prominent PR firms including Ogilvy PR Worldwide and Evins Communications, Walsh relocated to Baltimore, joining PR Flex to support the firm’s growing base of clients.

In her role, Walsh will lead account service efforts, while assisting in business development. Additionally, she will lead PR Flex’s social media charge, bringing best practices and fresh ideas to the table, starting with PR Flex’s website and blog , which focus heavily on education and provide a much needed primer on PR for its target of small to medium businesses.

“We hired Alison because she brings undeniable passion for the profession backed by the experience and skills to deliver great results,” said Abel. “We know our clients are in good hands with Alison and she is the ideal person to help us grow the business.”

The initial response to PR Flex has been overwhelmingly positive, with more than 10 client projects underway or completed in the firm’s first month, ranging in scope from copy writing to media relations to communications strategy. Current PR Flex clients include: SpotCrime , Acuity Mobile , Night Moves, Direct Dimensions, Real Baseball Intelligence, and New York Craft Beer Week.

PR Flex differs from traditional agencies in that its services are delivered “on demand” with transparent pricing and without the requirement of retainer agreements.

“I fell in love with the ‘Flex’ concept and the team behind it immediately,” said Walsh, a graduate of The George Washington University in D.C. “I’m excited to dispel the rumor that effective PR is reserved for the rich.”

Walsh began her public relations career as the New York Executive Assistant to Ogilvy PR Worldwide’s CEO Marcia Silverman. She quickly rose to the roles of Assistant Account Executive and Account Executive within Ogilvy’s Consumer Marketing Practice, working with clients including: Select Comfort, Johnson’s Baby, K-Y Brand, Virgin America, Promise Buttery Spread, Sunglass Hut, and Maxwell House. Next, she moved over to Evins Communications, where she was a Senior Account Executive serving the PR and strategic partnership needs of clients in the luxury lifestyle space including: Portero.com, TARA jewelry, DEOS diamonds, divorce attorney Vikki Ziegler and non-profits Children of Chernobyl and Ilitch Charities. A native of Scranton, Pa., Alison graduated from GW with a degree in International Affairs and Communications.
