First comprehensive shareable database of media on Twitter unveiled

Win Kindle 2 for entering vetted media contacts and tweeting support on Twitter

MediaOnTwitter, powered by TrackVia's online database, is the first shareable media database available to Twitter users. It is a free resource and media can be sorted by beat, location, name or media outlet.

MediaOnTwitter is populated by Twitter users, vetted by editors and FREE to the entire community. Users submit information via an easy-to-use web form where entries go directly to site editors for approval. Journalists will also be reminded to populate the list when submitting a query for the popular Help a Reporter Out (HARO) resource.

To celebrate the launch of the new platform (which was previously a wiki site), TrackVia will award a Kindle 2 to one user on April 13. Entries will be based off of tweets using the #mediatweet hashtag on Twitter and contributors must complete all required information for each entry.

MediaOnTwitter now allows media, public relations and other professionals to:

COLLECT media contact information using a web form that automatically populates in a shareable database;
ORGANIZE a growing list of media and bloggers from around the world as well as sort and view contacts by country, media outlet or name; and
SHARE media on Twitter information through dynamic published reports accessible at three locations.

After April 20, the MediaOnTwitter database will be permanently housed on: http://PRSarahEvans.com and http://www.DigitalIdeamedia.com.
