RecruitingBlogs.com and Futurestep Announce 20K Member Contest Winner!

Toronto, Ontario—November 20, 2009

RecruitingBlogs.com, the social network for recruiting and HR professionals, recently hit 20,000 members, a true milestone for a network started three years ago. To celebrate the occasion, founder and CEO Jason Davis partnered with Futurestep and The Newman Group to give away an all-expenses paid trip to a five-star Mexican resort.

The RecruitingBlogs.com community were asked to write about their individual future in recruiting.

Ed Newman, who is both President of The Newman Group and Leader of Futurestep US, chose the winner of the contest from over 80 blog entries. The winner, Chris Hood, wrote about giving up some of the more comfortable aspects of recruiting.

"Much is being written about technology and the future of recruiting, but often the most important voice in the conversation is left out--that of the recruiter. If you're a recruiter, this is a great chance to share your own perspective," said Newman.

Newman announced the winner November 19 via a video on the RecruitingBlogs.com homepage. Chris Hood then wrote a post about how he came to write the post and introduced the recruiting community to his son’s website, http://SuperGroverT.com
