Natalie's drawing, entitled "Spongebob," was inspired by the popular children's TV character. The drawing was created using crayons, and as Nicole explains, "Mostly a yellow crayon because Spongebob is yellow."
Natalie's mother, Nicole, is the RefrigeratorArtist.com site member who posted his artwork online and entered it in the monthly contest. She then shared it with friends and family via email and Facebook, garnering the votes that increased their odds and ultimately paid off when Natalie's artwork won the monthly drawing.
Nicole found the site when searching online for coloring contests because her daughter loves to color, and enjoys not only the contest aspect but also the saving and sharing aspect of the site. "When I found RefrigeratorArtist.com Natalie was very excited about the opportunity to have her artwork posted where everyone could see it," she said. "I love that the site promotes Natalie's creativity and saving for her future. I have already been recommending the site to friends!"
Natalie's only 4, but she has plans for her savings bonds. She'd like to use them for a horse, because she wants to be a horse trainer when she grows up.
