North Dakota State College of Science wins ADDY Award

Wahpeton, N.D. — (March 3, 2011) — North Dakota State College of Science was the recipient of an advertising award presented at the annual ADDY Awards banquet sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota (AAF-ND) on Feb. 25. The Silver ADDY Award represents the College’s best work for the past year.
NDSCS was awarded a Silver ADDY for The Science of Success television campaign. The campaign featured three 30-second spots, The Science of Success, Facts and Placement, filmed and edited by Russell Herder, an advertising and public relations firm, in collaboration with NDSCS College Relations and Marketing staff.
The AAF-ND chapter is one of 210 Advertising Federation clubs in 14 districts nationwide and a member of District 8, which is comprised of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The AAF’s annual ADDY Awards program honors excellence in advertising and cultivates the highest creative standards. Gold ADDY winners will proceed to the 8th District competition, and Gold winners there go on to the national finals.
NDSCS is a two-year, comprehensive, residential college with its main campus located in Wahpeton, N.D., and a second site, referred to as NDSCS-Fargo located on 19th Avenue North in Fargo, N.D. NDSCS offers degrees, certificates, and diplomas in over 80 academic options in traditional career and technical studies as well as the liberal arts. The college also offers a variety of distance education and online courses. Approximately 98% of graduates are employed or pursuing additional college education.
