Trouble & Bass founder Drop the Lime kicks the comp off with a bang as he incorporates his love for meat-and-potatoes rockabilly and bass-heavy house on “Bourbon Blitz.” The nocturnal disciples of Hussle Club, led by Terry of Heartsrevolution, bring even more heaviness to the mix with the LES anthem “Quaranteenagers.” Ghostly’s nouveau electro powerhouse Michna puts dirty sonic fingerprints and sultry Spanish clips all over his cut “Kings Highway.” On “Uptown Buck,” Kingdom fuses R&B-style production, house chops, and UK garage-influenced vocal sampling, and the compilation is rounded out nicely by Cubic Zirconia with their tripped-out and vibey track “Lucid In The Sky.”
In its continual effort to show support for the arts, Scion covers all production, licensing and distribution costs for the A/V projects and all proceeds go directly back to the label and artists involved.
“Scion loves working with the crew at Trouble & Bass,” said Jeri Yoshizu, Scion manager sales promotions. “Scion builds long-term relationships with independent labels who appeal to the most discerning audience while also keeping their sound fresh. This release represents stark innovation, exactly what we are looking for in a partnership.”
