Ad Agency Owners Gather for Buy/Sell, Retirement, Transition and Valuation Training, Hosted by Second Wind

Wyomissing, PA—Second Wind, the leading trainer of advertising agency professionals worldwide, will host The Agency Buy, Sell, Retire, Transition and Valuation Workshop, in Las Vegas, NV, February 15 and 16, 2011. The intensive, two-day gathering of owners and principals of smaller advertising, design, public relations, interactive and marketing firms will focus on how to capitalize on years of building a prosperous business.

“This annual event draws small business owners and leaders interested in learning how to convert their businesses’ value into retirement profit, while protecting the future of the businesses they have worked so hard to build,” said Second Wind managing director Tony Mikes. “Many smaller business owners in the advertising and marketing industry lack an understanding of how to plan and execute their retirement. We take them through the process of assessing their business’ value, exploring options for moving out of daily operations, and developing a detailed transition plan to guide selection of new leadership and help fulfill their profit expectations.”

The workshop will also look at buying, selling or merging an advertising/marketing business, and provide a ten-step retirement process for securing their wealth and achieving retirement goals. The event will be held at Caesar’s Palace.

“This is the best transition workshop in the business for owners of smaller and mid-sized agencies,” said Mikes. “Too many smaller agency owners wait until they are ready to retire to think about how to get the full value out of their business as they leave. That is often too late. We share the secrets to exiting the agency with full value in your pockets, and with a strong team in place to continue the business after the founders are gone. Starting now to develop an exit plan is essential to future financial security.”

Daily seminar sessions run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Second Wind members and non-members are invited to attend. Fees are $875 for members and $1,095 for non-members. Vouchers and other discounts may apply for Second Wind members.

Additional 2011 US seminar events include The Certified Account Executive College in April; Creative Juice! in June; and The Agency Financial and Operations Management Workshop in September. These three events will be held at The Gleacher Center at the University of Chicago.

A powerful information and business resource for smaller and midsize advertising, design, PR, interactive and marketing firms, Second Wind annually offers certified training for employee growth and development, as well as online training at the University of Advertising, on-demand Desktop Learning and training materials in the Second Wind Online Publications store.
