La Bodega's Day of The Dead Celebration...

We'll be celebrating the 1st Anniversary of La Bodega Leawood, Kansas starting Tuesday, November 1st with the traditional Spanish Holiday, El Dias de Muertos or better known as the Day Of The Dead. Make plans to join our weeklong festivities...

El Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), a Spanish celebration, is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed before us. Streets near cemeteries are filled with decorations of flowers, candy calaveras (skeletons and skulls), and parades. It is believed that the spirit of the dead visit their families October 31 and leave on November 2.
