KANSAS CITY, MO Local Ruckus, the only online platform for discovering people, music, restaurants, things to do and ways to serve in your own community is bringing six of Kansas City best bands to the Kansas City Power & Light “Live” Stage. Local Ruckus will make its official debut on Friday, October 14th at the Kansas City Power & Light District from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Make plans to join us! Resulting from an online battle of the bands competition, local bands were asked to compete against each other by registering one song on the Local Ruckus Facebook page.
Bands were chosen based on the number of votes they received. Two of those six bands are well-known acts, Evelyn Awake & Red Line Chemistry, who will headline the official Local Ruckus Launch Party. This is a FREE event, open to all ages until 9pm (21 & over after 9pm). A $5 donation is suggested and/or 5 canned goods as LR tries to stock the shelves of Harvesters Food Pantry. Local Ruckus' goal is to raise 25,000 meals.
