Local Bands Needed for Local Ruckus “Ruckstar” Challenge at Power & Light “Live” Stage!
Local Ruckus, a newly established KC company, is the only all-inclusive online platform for people to discover local music, events, restaurants, new people and ways to serve and donate to charities, all in your own community. LR allows people to facilitate meaningful conversations and discover new activities to do either by themselves, with a friend, spouse or family with the purpose of getting them off their computers and into their communities.
We are launching Local Ruckus and invite LOCAL BANDS to be apart of the LOCAL RUCKSTAR CHALLENGE.
We’re hosting an online battle of the bands called The Local Ruckstar Challenge and ask that local bands hop on line and enter. There’s $1,000 and a gig at the KC Power & Light Live stage up for grabs for the top 3 bands.

With the public launch to the community fast approaching, Local Rucks thought of several locations throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area that would be the perfect spot for the “Official Launch Party.” A place that encompasses all the things that Local Ruckus represents – people, vibrant atmosphere, central location, music, stage, food, family-oriented restaurants, nightclubs and more…our first thought was of the Power & Light District’s “Live” Stage and we got it! Don't miss out on the Local Ruckstar Challenge and a chance to play in front of all your fans.
How it works:
Bands submit an application and best song in .mp3 format via the Local Ruckus Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/localruckus
Applications and mp3s must be received by September, 11th!
The Local Ruckus team will choose 12 bands for people to vote on.
(You will be contacted by a member of our team with additional details if you are chosen.)
September 26th – Polls are CLOSED! The top 3 bands with the most votes will be asked to play the official Local Ruckus Launch Party on Friday, October 14th, 2011 on the Power & Light Live Stage!
Prizes:
1st place band gets $600
2nd place gets $400
3rd place gets $100.
