Red Line Chemistry & Evalyn Awake to play Local Ruckus Launch Party at Power & Light

Do the Local Thing! Do, see, eat, drink, meet, share, volunteer & more...

KANSAS CITY, MO - LOCAL RUCKUS, the only online platform for discovering people, music, restaurants, things to do and ways to serve in your own community is bringing eight of Kansas City’s best bands to the Kansas City Power & Light “Live” Stage. Local Ruckus will make its official debut on Friday, October 14th at the Kansas City Power & Light District from 6:00pm to 11:30pm. Make plans to join in the fun!

Resulting from The Local RuckStar Challenge, an online battle of the bands, local bands competed against each other by registering one song on the Local Ruckus Facebook page. Bands were chosen based on number of votes received. Red Line Chemistry & Evalyn Awake will headline the official Local Ruckus Launch Party. This is a FREE event, open to all ages until 9pm (21 & over after 9pm). A $5 or 5 canned goods donation is suggested as Local Ruckus tries to stock the shelves of Harvesters Food Pantry. Local Ruckus' goal is to raise 25,000 meals.

Local Ruckus, a newly established KC company, is the only all-inclusive online platform for people to discover local music, events, restaurants, businesses and charities, all in your own community. Local Ruckus allows people to discover new activities to do either alone, with friends or with family. The idea is to get people out from behind computers and into communities. It's all about Kansas City!

Organizations that work to support the less fortunate in a community, strengthen that community. Local Ruckus is all about giving back which is why 20% of ALL revenue goes directly to local charities so they can continue to make a difference and strengthen the community around them. From now thru the October 14th launch, each person that signs up on www.LocalRuckus.com, will have 20 meals donated on their behalf to Harvesters–The Community Food Network.
