Evenflo Issues Recall for Convertible High Chairs

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Evenflo issued a recall for about 35,000 convertible high chairs in the United States due to a fall hazard.

The recall is being issued because the activity tray on the high chair can unexpectedly detach and allow an unrestrained child to fall, posing a risk of injury to the child.

The company has received 18 reports of trays that detached, including eight reports of children who fell from the high chair and sustained bumps and bruises, according to a CPSC press release.

The product was sold at Toys “R” Us, Wal-Mart, and Wayfair.com between December 2011 and June 2012.
