TELUS WORLD SKI AND SNOWBOARD FESTIVAL TO SHOWCASE SOREL’S FASHIONABLE EVOLUTION, APRIL 16 – 25, 2010

Stylish footwear brand sponsors event for second year in a row; to be featured in Schick’s Fashion Exposed runway show at the Whistler Conference Center Friday April 23, 2010

Sorel, a premium cold-weather and fashionable footwear brand, will sponsor the 2010 TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival (TWSSF) in Whistler, B.C. for the second year in a row.

The festival will take place April 16 – 25, 2010 in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. The defining celebration of Whistler, the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival is a 10-day-and-night showcase of the latest progressions in the skiing and snowboarding world.

Combining Canada’s largest free outdoor concert series with career-making showdowns of action sports and lifestyle fashion, photography and film, the best spring snow conditions, and burn-the-candle nightlife, TWSSF is a celebration of everything that’s core to mountain culture.

Sorel will be featured on the Schick Fashion Exposed runway on April 23, 2010 at the Whistler Conference Center. Models will be showcasing the latest designs from the brand’s Fall 2010 collection, including the new Cate the Great boot and Tivoli collection. Tickets cost $15 and are available online.

“Sorel is proud to be on board for the second year in a row as a sponsor of this world-class winter sports, music, art and cultural festival,” said Jeff Timmins for Sorel Canada. “The Schick Fashion Exposed event is the perfect venue to showcase Sorel’s evolution from a premium winter boot brand to a fashion-forward, all-season footwear brand. Our Fall 2010 collection is definitely going to surprise the fashionistas and hard-core winter sports enthusiasts attending the festival this year.”

TWSSF attendees can see the Fall 2010 collection in person at the Sorel booth in Whistler Village and participate in Sorel footwear giveaways that will be happening during the event.

The Sorel Fall 2010 collection will be available in retailers and online (US-only) at www.sorel.com starting July 1, 2010.
