Fashion Fight Winter Tour With Stokeswood and The Big Bounce

From the Clermont Lounge to South Beach

Atlanta indie rock band, Stokeswood (www.Stokeswood.net) in collaboration with Miami’s very own, The Big Bounce (www.Bigbouncemusic.com), is excited to announce the Fashion Fight Winter Tour.

The Tour kicks off at Atlanta’s infamous Clermont Lounge January 21st, and unfolds itself into the heart of Miami over the course of the next twelve days. With both band gaining momentous exposure in 2009 “This is exactly what we need to jumpstart 2010…” said Jon Joiner of Stokeswood “This is going to be The Year of Years for us!” The Tour will primarily consist of; Stokeswood and The Big Bounce, but they will be joined by DJ Sun at the Clermont Lounge, and The K-Macks, DJ Triz, and Music Matters Productions at the New Earth Music Hall in Athens.

About the Big Bounce

New Jersey-raised Brendan O’Hara and Brooklyn-born Komakozie make music that’s meant to move the masses. From the red-bricked Northeast to the welcoming West Coast and then on to paradise, this South Beach duo ignites stages nightly with a blend of soulful sounds and irresistible charm. On separate yet seemingly parallel journeys, performer/songwriter Brendan O’Hara and vocal percussionist aka beatbox phenom, Komakozie, are now in tandem on a trajectory that has landed them at the forefront of a rather unclassifiable style of music. The Big Bounce offers listeners a rare concoction of epic vocals over powerful piano with a raw street twist. The music makes you move in ways you didn’t’ know possible, the groove is timeless, the beat is tight, how can I say… Hell Yes!

About Stokeswood

The electroacoustic band, Stokeswood released their debut album, Carassia, in early 2009, since then they have undergone a “caterpillar-to-butterfly” type metamorphosis, pushing their deeply layered sound into a new realm of disco-beat-laden, synthesized acoustic indie rock. The five-piece, Atlanta based, band includes; lead vocal and guitar player, Adam Patterson, electric guitar player, Mark Godwin, drummer, Jon Joiner, keys and bass player, Reed Irvine and percussionist, Craig Gendreau. “Stokeswood is a marvel to watch, as they switch between instruments, giving up their spot on keys, synths and guitar like a game of musical chairs, all the while keeping up an irresistible, danceable backbone to the imaginative melodies and powerhouse, gut-wrenching vocals of Adam Patterson. The band undeniably owns the room with their unique unpredictable sound, expressive beats and high-energy presence.” Nadia Lelutiu, Performer Magazine.

Stokeswood’s Carassia is available for sale at all live shows, Wax N Facts in Little 5 Points, through the band’s website, iTunes, CDBaby.com, and Amazon.com.
