Special Menu Tasting Event – Monday, September 12
Tavern in the Village will host a celebration of its new cocktail menu on Monday, September 12 as the third monthly tasting event held at the restaurant. The celebration will feature the four new and four remaining freshly-inspired, hand-crafted cocktails for $5.00 (regularly $9.50) throughout the day and special cocktail demonstrations with mixologist and bartender, Dave Smuckler, along with limited complimentary samplings from the happy hour menu from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the celebration and reservations are not required.
NEW Entrée, Cocktails and Beer:
Entrées:
Pork Marsala – Pork tenderloin cutlets sautéed with fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, and oregano in a rich marsala wine reduction served with whipped potatoes and lemon-pepper green beans.
Tavern Beef Stroganoff – Tender pieces of beef tenderloin sautéed with shallots, mushrooms and simmered in a rich burgundy wine sauce over egg noodles and topped with sour cream served with grilled asparagus.
Roast Beef and Horseradish – Warm roast beef with creamy horseradish and crispy fried onions served on an egg bun.
Cajun Shrimp Po’ Boy – Four large Cajun shrimp seared and served on an onion poppy seas roll with lettuce, tomato and chipotle aioli.
Cocktails:
Summer Thyme Anytime Lemonade – light, fresh lemonade drink for all seasons made with Ketel Citreon, Aperol, lemons, strawberries, sprig thyme and ginger.
Cucumber Ginger Refresher – refreshing cucumber and ginger drink made with Hendricks, Elderflower liqueur, fresh lime, muddled cucumber slices and ginger beer.
Thai Concord Cooler – a Thai inspired drink made with G Vine, fresh lime, sprig Thai basil, muddled concord grapes, and lavender simple syrup.
Peruvian Sage – a flavorful fall drink made with Bar Sol Pisco, fresh lime, egg white, and muddled blackberries served with sage garnish.
Bottled Beers:
Tavern in the Village has added a new selection of fall beers available in bottles to the drink menu, along with the addition of Boulevard Tank 7 on tap. The new selection of beer bottles includes:
