The Texas Testosterone Festival Presented by SugarBaby Swimwear Announces Weekend Event Schedule
Austin Festival to Include MMA, Fantasy Football, Video Games and Fitness Events August 15-16, 2009 at the Palmer Events Center
Admission to the Texas Testosterone Festival is $6 in advance and $9 at the door. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the TTF website at www.TexasTestosteroneFestival.com. Seminars and competitions are taking place throughout the weekend; additional information and registration information follows.
The following featured events and exhibitions are designed to provide great entertainment and opportunities for hands-on participation. A cash bar will be open throughout the weekend.

Home Brewing Demonstration (10:30-11:30a.m.)
JB of Austin Homebrew Supply will demonstrate the ease, economics and tasty results of the popular hobby of self-brewing beer.
Basketball Skills Competition Hosted by the Austin Toros (10:30a.m.-12:30p.m.)
TTF attendees are invited to show off their basketball skills at the festival. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and the first place competitor will have the opportunity to participate in the Austin Toros free agent camp for the 2009-10 season. The Austin Toros Dance team will also be in attendance.
Amir Sadollah Live Q&A with Steve Sievert of MMAJunkie.com Presented by King of Kombat (11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.)
Sievert, formerly of the Houston Chronicle, will talk to Sadollah about his maincard Pay-Per-View fight at UFC 101 on August 8 and his career in MMA including becoming the Ultimate Fighter in Season 7 of the popular Spike TV show.
Mixed Martial Arts Seminar Hosted by UFC Ultimate Fighter Amir Sadollah Presented by King of Kombat (12:30-2:30p.m.)
Amir Sadollah will come direct from his maincard Pay-Per-View debut at UFC 101 in Las Vegas for a Mixed Martial Arts Seminar. Registration to participate in the seminar is $50 in advance; spectators can watch from the sidelines for the cost of admission to TTF ($6 in advance, $9 at the door).
Fantasy Football Mock Draft Presented by Buffalo Billiards (12:30-2:30p.m.)
Ladd Biro, Fantasy Football columnist for the Dallas Morning News and contributor to Sporting News Radio will lead a panel of media personalities, published authors and other Fantasy Football experts in a Mock Draft for the 2009 NFL Football season. This will be a deep draft with many sleeper picks and spectators will have the opportunity to query the expert panel. Biro makes his Fantasy Football picks each week for the Dallas Morning News, manages his Fantasy Football blog Fantasy-Fools, and is a favorite among Fantasy Football fans. The Fantasy Football Mock Draft panel will include:

Chopper Customization Demo Hosted by Southern Metal Choppers (2:30-3:30p.m.)
Local chopper mastermind Bronson Willard and his team at Southern Metal Choppers will demonstrate some of the magic that makes their bikes among some of the most desired in the world. The crew will show off some of their latest works in progress and how-to demonstrations of the coolest customizations one can do in the comfort of their own garage.
Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Seminar Presented by AT&T
Relson Gracie is a 9th-degree Red-Black belt and the second eldest son of Grandmaster Helio Gracie, the man credited for innovating Jiu-Jitsu, now known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As the Brazilian National Champ in both his weight class and the open weight class for an unprecedented 22 years, Gracie’s instruction is widely sought after worldwide. Registration to participate in the seminar is $50 in advance; spectators can watch the seminar for the cost of admission to the TTF ($6 in advance, $9 at the door).
Central Texas Pro Sports Roundtable (3:30-4:30p.m.)
A.J. Hoffman of AM 1300 The Zone will host the men in charge of Central Texas’ professional sports teams as they meet to publicly discuss the opportunities and challenges for pro sports in the area.

The Spartan 300 Challenge by Crossfit Central Presented by Zhen Mei Natural Supplements (4:30-6p.m.)
Inspired by the ultimate guy movie, “300,” the Spartan 300 Challenge puts athletes through a body-numbing fitness challenge that includes pull ups, dead lifts, box jumps, Kettlebell clean and presses, floor wipers and push ups, all totaling a grueling 300 repetitions to test fitness as well as mental fortitude and determination. Nearly $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the contestants with the best times. Registration for the contest is $20; spectators can watch the challenge for the cost of admission to TTF ($6 in advance, $9 at the door).
The Greatest Bikini Contest in the History of the Great State of Texas Presented by Cindie’s Lingerie & Gifts (5-6p.m.)
The bikini contest is managed by Bikinis Bar and Grill and will include a star-studded judging panel, including UFC fighter Amir Sadollah, legendary Jiu-Jitsu Master Relson Gracie, WEC fighter Phil Cardella, Ladd Biro of the Dallas Morning News and Steve Sievert, formerly of the Houston Chronicle. First place is $200 cash and a free entry into the Texas Fit Model Search at 7p.m. Prizes will be furnished for all contestants.
The INBF / WNBF Texas Fit Model Search Presented by Picture Perfect Spa (7-10:30p.m.)
Hosted and produced by WNBF Professional Bodybuilder and Fitness Model David Lee Nall, the fittest and best-looking male and female models in Texas will compete for cash prizes, trophies and modeling opportunities. The Model Search will be covered by Chelo Publishing (Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness, Men’s Exercise, Best Body and Exercise for Men Only magazines). All-day events running from 10a.m.-6p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16:
Relson Gracie Texas Jiu-Jitsu Tournament and Team Challenge (Pre-register in advance; 10a.m. Weigh-in begins; 11a.m. Start Tournament)
Master Relson Gracie will host a full day’s worth of Jiu-Jitsu competition pitting athletes from across the state against each other in a martial arts competition exciting for competitors and spectators alike. Medals will be awarded to all division winners and cash prizes will be awarded to the Absolute Male and Female Gi and the Absolute Male No-Gi champions. The Tournament will be followed by the Jiu-Jitsu Team Challenge, a chance for Jiu-Jitsu competitors across the state to challenge other academies, individuals or the Texas Jiu-Jitsu community at large.
Video Game Tournaments Presented by Floyd’s 99 Barbershops (10a.m. Registration; 10:30a.m. Start Tournament; Spots available all day)
Prizes will be awarded to winning competitors of today’s hottest games including Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Madden 10 and UFC Undisputed. The Video Game Tournaments are managed by Gamerz and will be held on the Featured Event stage for the audience to take in all of the action.
Poker Tournaments by The Fantasy Poker League (10a.m. Registration; 10:30a.m. Start Tournament; Spots available every half hour)
Texas Hold’em sit n’ go tournaments will run continuously throughout the day on two tables with prizes for participants. The tournaments are open and free to all Festival attendees and prizes will be awarded to the day''s most successful players.
