Devoted sports fans will never miss an NFL game again with the return of Dollar NFL Sundays. One-dollar general admission, parking, programs, beers, hot dogs, sodas and access to every NFL game will be offered. Known as the biggest sports bar in the Bay Area, Golden Gate Fields is home to 1,200 TVs making it the only place spectators can watch NFL football and live Thoroughbred racing all at once.
Highlighting the racing season, the fastest horses will compete for the track’s marquee race, the All American stakes race. Race-goers can bet on their favorite horses and jockeys competing in the one and one eighth mile race. The track will also offer simulcast viewing of the highly anticipated Breeders’ Cup World Championship from Santa Anita Park on November 2 and 3.
Other events on the calendar this season include:
• Dogtoberfest – Man’s best friend can now enjoy a day at the track. The festival features a beer garden where owner’s can relax and mingle with other dog-lovers over frosty brews and live racing.
• Halloween Family Day – Participants can celebrate the Halloween season at Golden Gate Fields for a day filled with candy, face painters, pony rides and more. Admission and all activates for kids are free!
Racing at Golden Gate Fields takes place Thursday through Sunday, from October 18 to December 16. Gates open at 10 a.m. and first post is at 12:45 p.m.
