LAW AND ORDERS: LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVE UP FOOD AND FUN AT APPLEBEE’S

Local Officers help raise funds for Special Olympics athletes across New York State

Dozens of local law enforcement officers will be on hand at more than 20 Applebee’s restaurants across New York State on Thursday, May 20, but they won’t be enforcing laws or writing tickets. Instead, the officers will serve up food and fun to Applebee’s customers at the “Law and Orders” event benefitting Special Olympics athletes across the state.

The officers will join forces with Applebee’s employees and assist servers and hosts by performing their various tasks. They also will greet and hold the door for guests, bus tables, and serve food and beverages to customers. In return, Applebee’s customers will have the option to tip the officers, which will directly benefit the more than 47,000 Special Olympics athletes in New York State.

“Applebee’s has been teaming up with local law enforcement officials to support Special Olympics athletes in our own neighborhoods for the past few years,” said Stephanie Griffin, director of Marketing and Public Relations for T.L. Cannon/Applebee’s. “Our patrons love that they can be served by their local heroes in our restaurants and support a good cause at the same time.”

Participating Applebee’s locations include Glenmont, Hudson, Latham, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs, Poughkeepsie, Brewster, New Hartford, Rome, Utica, Watertown, Auburn, Camillus, Clay, DeWitt, Batavia, Geneseo, Greece, Henrietta, Rochester, Webster, Binghamton, Cortland, Ithaca, and Vestal, NY.

The “Law and Orders” events are just one of the many ways that Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar gives back to local communities. For more information on fundraising opportunities with Applebee’s, visit www.tlcneighborhood.com.
