Womens Basketball: Pointers miss shot at beating No. 6 Titans

11/28/09 - BLOOMINGTON,Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's basketball team gave the Illinois Wesleyan, No. 6 team in the country a run for their money.

Britta Peterson 21 points and 9 rebounds were not enough to lead the Pointers to victory in an 84-80 loss to the Titans.

Turnovers plagued the Pointers committing a total of 34. The turnovers along with the 46 bench points for the Titans proved to be too much for the Pointers.

The Pointers (4-1) return to action on Dec. 2 for the(WIAC) opener against UW-Stout. Tip-off in Menomonie is scheduled for 7 p.m.
