The HR Florida State Council, which represents over 14,000 individual HR members, has partnered with Voice of HR to provide social media services to the 2010 HR Florida State Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida.
Voice of HR is a subsidiary of New Media Services LLC, founded by Laurie Ruettimann and Mark Stelzner. Voice of HR will assemble a team of highly skilled new media representatives who will provide live Twitter coverage of select sessions and create thoughtful content that summarizes each day of the conference. They will partner with Steve Boese, Founder of HR Happy Hour, to host live radio programming throughout the event.
In addition to providing new media services, Voice of HR will host a booth that will serve as the hub of connectivity, power and social media access for HR Florida attendees. The booth will also offer an opportunity to talk to popular HR social media superstars who can answer questions about social media and Human Resources.
“HR Florida is thrilled to be the first HR council to partner with Voice of HR,” says Carol McDaniel, Conference Chair. “Our goal is to increase member engagement, attain broader exposure, and raise awareness of social media as a member-based value proposition.”
Known for pushing the boundaries of career advice through the use of new technologies, Laurie Ruettimann and Mark Stelzner are also excited about the role of Voice of HR at this year’s HR Florida conference.
“Working with HR Florida is a great opportunity, not only for Voice of HR, but also to change and improve the conference experience,” says Ruettimann. “As a past speaker and attendee, I know firsthand that HR Florida is always seeking innovative ways to increase member engagement. The HR Florida State Conference & Expo is the annual conference of the HR Florida State Council, a state affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Each year, the event attracts over 1,000 human resource professionals and vendors throughout the state of Florida and across the nation. These individuals represent virtually every industry and companies ranging from small businesses to large industrial centers. The 2010 HR Florida State Conference & Expo will be held from August 30, 2010 to September 1, 2010 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
