WWL to present new Supply Chain Optimization Model during Webinar on May 12

Oslo, Norway As global growth progresses after several challenging years, the Automotive and High & Heavy sectors are faced with a new challenge: adapting to a world where carbon footprint management is fast becoming a regulatory, social and commercial priority. Yet many companies have never considered examining their outbound supply chains from an emissions perspective.

On May 12, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics will lead a webinar, hosted by Automotive Logistics, that will debunk old paradigms and shed light on the new reality of supply chain optimisation.

The presenter, Mr. Nils Lie of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, will demonstrate how focusing on emissions can lead to a step change in the quality of supply chain optimisation efforts, by simultaneously addressing the "holy trinity" (cost, time and quality).

“Our work in this area has shown us that it is possible to reduce both supply chain costs and emissions at the same time,” said Mr. Lie, referring to a pioneering collaboration between WWL and Tata Motors, which lead to WWL’s innovative new SCM Optimization Tool.

“Manufacturers that understand this new reality and adapt their strategies will be well positioned for many of the upcoming environmental regulations that will impact supply chain operations globally,” Mr. Lie further explained.

The webinar will share many of the lessons learned and tools used during the Tata collaboration (click here for the Case Study) and provide participants with three related take-aways:

• Learn cutting edge supply chain optimization methods
• Get concrete tips on how to reduce your CO2 emissions and costs
• Find out what your peers are prioritizing
