HANDY, Inc. Hosts Annual Wine Dinner and Golf Tournament in Honor of Kathie Zier, HANDY’s Founding Chair

Fort Lauderdale, FL (January 24, 2012) HANDY hosts a “Wine and Dine Evening” followed by a memorable Golf Tournament.  This two-day event, Kathie’s Classic, is named in honor of HANDY’s Founding Chair, Kathie Jackson.  Kathie’s daughter, Nikki Jackson-Akers helps keep the tradition alive by serving as a Chair of this event.  Host committee members include: Chair(s), Nikki Jackson-Akers and Axel Soto, Co-Chair(s) Beth Bryant and Cori Fraser, Roxanna Brown, Barb Burnette, Cristy Caserta, Chris Davis, Phil DeBiasi, Marla Jaffe, Courtney Keene, Meaghan Kirby, Tom Kruse, Marsha Levy, Laura Lewis, John Mabry, Chad Moss, Patricia Nino, Jim Rushton, Phillip Snyder, Paula Taylor, Phyllis Tinker, Lucy Weber, and Zach Williamson. 

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, HANDY will host an elegant Wine Dinner at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.  This dinner features exquisite wines sponsored by Premier Beverage paired with gourmet menu items in an elegant yet fun intimate evening.  After an exciting dinner, complete with silent and live auctions, guests are invited upstairs to an astounding dessert buffet, cigars, and music on the veranda overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  The fun continues at the Golf Tournament the following day, Friday, March 30, 2012.  The Golf Tournament is held at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale Country Club.  As every year, guests and sponsors will enjoy lunch, a putting contest, 18 holes of golf, fabulous gift bags, complimentary beverages on the course, dinner, and an awards ceremony.
