Business Council welcomes new director for East Central region

Kim Rightmer of Casper, Wyo., steps in

Kim Rightmer, of Casper, Wyo., will replace Steve Elledge as the East Central regional director for the Wyoming Business Council in October, when Elledge is set to retire.

Rightmer was previously the vice president of economic development at the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance (CAEDA) in Casper, working with companies evaluating Natrona County as a possible business location. Her primary focus was to attract, retain, and assist in the expansion of business and industry through projects that support established economic development initiatives and goals.

The East Central region includes the counties of Converse, Natrona and Niobrara with a central office located in downtown Casper. The region is one of seven throughout the state that are the first points of contact for the organization. The offices partner with local economic development organizations, city and county entities, divisions of the Business Council, and the Wyoming business community to assist and support retention, expansion, recruitment and community development efforts.
