Dubois, WY – The weekend of February 3 – 5th brings the Dubois Winterfest and the 15th Annual Dubois Sled Dog & Skijoring Races with activities scheduled for the entire family. Whether you enjoy outdoor winter activities or prefer indoor festivities, we have something entertaining for everyone this weekend.
Join our Poker Run from January 30-February 4th. Pick up to seven playing cards at participating Dubois businesses and bring the sealed envelopes to the Bread & Soup Contest on Saturday where the winning hand will be awarded a prize.
Saturday’s events start at 8:30 a.m. with the first round of sled dog races held at the Sheridan Creek Oval (approximately 17 miles west of Dubois). Events taking place in town that day include the Children’s Crafts at the Bighorn Sheep Center at 10 a.m., a Bread & Soup Contest at the Headwaters from 1-3 p.m., Dress-Up Show for Kids at the Headwaters at 2 p.m. and the festivities conclude in the evening with a Hootenanny at 7 p.m.
Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Sheridan Creek Oval the second and final round of Sled Dog & Skijoring Races begin. The culminating outdoor event of the day is the Pee Wee Fun Run (one sled and one dog) for kids ages 3 through 8, scheduled for approximately 12:30 p.m.
There is an entry fee for sled dog and Skijoring participants and the Bread and Soup contest is $1 per ballot. All other events are FREE!
